Calling All Kitchen Fanatics, KBIS a Must
The Kitchen/Bath Industry Show & Conference (KBIS) is held annually and showcases the most recent products and most innovative design ideas in the kitchen and bath industry. In 2008 it took place in Chicago, and included many modern kitchen ideas, but also rich, dark browns. Another kitchen trend was brown, cream, and combined lighting.

KBIS is a forum for designers, dealers, retailers, consumers, architects, distributors, home centers and other professionals. It involves a large collection of product displays and demonstrations, various speeches and lectures, and is the world’s largest international trade event committed to the kitchen and bath industry.

Modern kitchen designs at KBIS 2008 included sleek stainless steel and dark surface, but also more traditional marble and granite counter tops. A feature of many of the more conventional kitchens was chandelier lighting and wooden paneling on walls and around appliances.
