Let there Be Kitchen Light

The effect lighting has on any room is more striking than you might think. In fact, just opening the drapes or having more natural light in a room can turn it from drab to cheerful. With that in mind, we turn to kitchen lighting. Because of the tasks completed in the kitchen, it is important to have adequate lighting.

Some kitchens have spot-lights for work-areas like the sink, and ceiling lighting for the easting area where less light is needed. All of this lighting can get complicated and costly, what with the number of switches to control each set of lights, and the amount of money spent changing bulbs
regularly.

An alternative option is natural sunlight. Although having you curtains wide-open all the time isn’t always an option, there is another way to bring natural light into your kitchen.

A product which effectively does this, with simplicity and style, is SunPipe. From what I understand, a transparent dome constructed on the roof of a home concentrates sunlight, then channels it through a pipe (or pipes) to the desired room. This not only makes the room much brighter, but also reduces the amount of carbon dioxide emissions, because you do not have to use conventional lighting as often.

This unique design is not available in large home improvement stores due to the companies belief in giving small businesses a break. However, they do supply a number of domestic marketplaces, and are also willing to provide their product on a factory-direct basis to customers.

It is hard to describe just how natural light effects a kitchen, but the pictures below might give you an idea.
