More Get Up and Go

The espresso coffee machine was invented in France during 1822, but the modern kitchen gadget we see in kitchens today was not produced until 1960 by Faema Inc.
Currently there are three types of espresso coffee machines available, and they are classified by size. The first is the commercial machine, which takes up a lot of space due to the large amount of coffee it stores, and is typically found only in restaurants and cafes.

The second is the pump or traditional espresso machine, present in many modern kitchens. This type uses a pump to pour the hot water through the coffee powder and into the cups.

A different variety of this second type of machine employs steam energy to make coffee. Either variety is perfect for a small kitchen, due to their minimal size.
When choosing an espresso coffee machine areas to consider include price range, pump or steam driven, durability and thermablock. Thermablock is a feature which maintains temperature levels in the machine, keeping the water at around 200°F and the milk creamy, and is important for all coffee lovers.
